This project is for a private spa center, which includes both an outdoor sauna and an outdoor hot tub. The hot tub is installed as an in-ground hot tub, recessed into the floor.

On the other hand, the sauna is mounted on a wooden platform, which blends well with the aesthetics of both the cedar sauna and hot tub.

This installation is located in a wide, flat outdoor area- the ideal condition for wood-fired hot tubs and saunas. Also, the smell of a wood-burning fire adds to the overall ambiance of an outdoor sauna experience.

Hot Tub and Sauna in this Installation

The cedar sauna is prefabricated and comes as a DIY kit, where walls are held together in the center with staves and steel straps. This reduces the number of fasteners while still providing thermal insulation and flexible expansion.

The barrel rests on wooden crates to provide stability and ventilation. This sauna can fit 2-4 people depending on the size, which is 150cm or 180cm long by 180 cm-200 cm in diameter.

The hot tub also has a wood-fired internal heater. This eliminates the need for visible pipes and tubes, compared to external heaters. The hot tub also comes with a high-density polystyrene foam thermal insulation cover, along with wooden benchtops, stairs, and a heater fence for safety.

This outdoor installation is sure to provide an amazing spa experience for the client’s guests. The combination of a wood-fired sauna and hot tub completes a luxurious spa center.
