A Cedar Soak, Ready When You Are.
The Outdoor Cedar Hot Tub brings a traditional cedar soak to your own backyard with none of the work of a wood fire. A SpaNET control system runs the heater and the pump, so you set the temperature you want and the tub holds it there.
It arrives as a partly assembled kit that two people can put together in an afternoon, and it sits on a smaller footprint than a wood fired tub with an external heater.

Key Features
Cedar That Holds the Heat
Cedar holds heat longer than most timbers, so the heater runs less often and costs less to keep warm.
It weathers into a patina rather than wearing out, and a cedar oil treatment brings the colour back whenever you want it.

SpaNET Controls Matched to Your Size
Every size comes with a SpaNET control system and a heater sized to the tub. The 1500 mm tub is fitted with the SV Mini 1 and a 3.0kW heater. The 1800 mm and 2100 mm tubs step up to the SV3-VH with a 5.25kW variable heater that matches its output to the power available.
Both systems are designed by SpaNET Pty Ltd, an Australian owned and operated spa control specialist based in Sydney, and the heater and control system are SAA compliant.

Pump and Filtration Built In
The pump and filter sit in a cabinet built into the steps, out of sight and out of the weather.
You choose how many hours of filtration run each day and the control system takes care of the timing. Like any spa, the water still needs regular testing and sanitiser.

Set the Temperature and Leave It
Set the temperature you want, up to 41 degrees, and the system heats to it and holds it there. It heats only, so it will not chill the water below the temperature the tub naturally sits at.
Freeze protection runs the pump and heater if the water drops below 4 degrees, as long as the tub is filled and powered.

Why This Hot Tub
An electric cedar tub is the shortest path from wanting a soak to having one. There is no fire to light, no wood to store and no waiting while a stove comes up to heat.
What you get instead is a timber tub that looks like it belongs outdoors, running on gear that was designed for Australian spas.

AUSTRALIAN DESIGNED CONTROLS
SpaNET build the control systems in Sydney and supply them to spa makers across Australia and New Zealand.
NATURALLY DURABLE TIMBER
Western Red Cedar resists rot and decay on its own, without treatment, which is why it has been used for tubs for so long.
A SMALLER FOOTPRINT
The heater and pump live under the steps rather than in a separate stove beside the tub, so the whole thing takes up less room.
BUILT TO BE ASSEMBLED
The base and staves arrive partly assembled and go together like a barrel, with instructions and a video to follow.

We replaced our old fibreglass spa with a wood fire heater cedar hot tub.
The hot tub is way better than the spa. It is easy to heat and maintains the temperature. The seating is very comfortable and the water depth good.
The hot tub is well made and looks great.
Shipping was reasonable cost and arrived on time.
The kit is easy to assemble. I recommend you watch the construction videos on the website before you begin. Although we had a few leaks to start with, they resolved themselves as the timber swelled with moisture.
A very good product that I am sure will last for many years.

We are so happy with our new hot tub, nothing beats relaxing in the tub when it’s cold outside and the perfume from the cedar is beautiful. The assembly was pretty straightforward and a couple of times when we needed clarification Art was only too happy to help. I highly recommend this product and the service and follow up offered by Shym Saunas and Spas.

We really enjoy our cedar hot tub purchased from Shym. Art has been great to work with. We recently upgraded to a larger heater from Shym which has been a good addition.
