Shym Saunas’ outdoor wood-fired hot tub provides relaxation in a complete package: A DIY wooden tub with an external firewood heater, pump, filtration system, and cover. This hot tub can be assembled easily, complete with instructions, and can be built within hours.
With pristine wood and high-quality but inexpensive materials, this outdoor hot tub will be a centerpiece and a conversation starter. Your family or friends will enjoy a hot tub experience, unwinding and just taking a time off with them and having quality moments.

Sturdy and Durable Hot Tub for the Outdoors
Our cedar hot tub kit is meant to be enjoyed not only by you but with your family and friends. We offer a heavy-duty hot tub that can accommodate from 4 to 10 people, depending on the tub size and arrangement. Our hot tub assembly, built out of 39 mm thick red cedar staves, weighs about 300 kg and can last for years on end.
Stainless Steel Wood-Fired Heater
Wood-fired heaters provide an economic way to enjoy a hot tub: efficient heating, using renewable fuel, and thus environmentally friendly. No worries about longevity as these heaters are made with stainless steel, which resists corrosion despite the outdoor weather and direct contact with water.
- Made of 304# stainless steel
- Excellent corrosion resistance
- Heats water from cold to 38 °C in a couple of hours (depends on the size of the tub, the quality of wood, and the outside temperature)
- Heat shielded flue for everyone’s safety and protection
Water Pump and Filtration System
This cedar hot tub is also equipped with a water pump that makes heating quicker and more efficient. This hot tub package also includes a filtration system that works hand in hand with the water pump to keep the water clean and protects the pump from debris and dirt. The pump and filtration system are tucked and hidden under the hot tub stairs.
High-Density Polystyrene Thermal Covers
Shym Sauna utilises high-density polyurethane for thermal covers for its effective thermal insulation. HDPE, one of the most effective thermal insulation materials, provides superior heat insulation. This thermal cover also resists damage from long-term exposure to water with its marine-grade vinyl and chlorine construction. This cover kit also includes a safety clip to lock it in place.
Materials
High-grade Canadian Western Red Cedar
The wooden components in this kit are all made of high-quality Western Red Cedar. One of the best materials for outdoor saunas and hot tubs, Canadian Western Red Cedar wood is naturally resistant to pests, moisture, and decay. Also, the dark color and aromatic scent of red cedars produce a conducive environment of relaxation.
Stainless Steel Straps and Heater
All metal parts of the sauna are made with 304# stainless steel, a perfect material for the outdoors for its weather resistance. The steel straps holding the wooden staves and the external firewood heater are all made of stainless steel.

ASSEMBLY
Our outdoor cedar hot tub can be quickly built with its barrel assembly methodology: A base is surrounded by staves that are held up by steel straps, just like a barrel. Assembly can be done in a few hours and can be a DIY project for home improvement.
The package will come with detailed instructions as well as a video guide as an easy step-by-step tutorial you can follow.

Fantastic product and service. We bought both a wood-fired Sauna and a wood-fired Hot Tub as the centrepieces for a bush spa zone in our back yard, which has proven a huge hit with family and friends. Because both products are wood-fired there is no mucking around with wiring, heating up is way quicker than electricity – and the mix of eucalyptus smoke and cedar produces this beautiful scent that sends you into ‘relax’ zone, a thousand miles from the daily grind, without leaving your home. As Art puts it, it feels like your skin is breathing. I’m so glad I chose to buy from Shym. First, the quality of the wood is excellent: I’ve seen other acquaintances pay more for from other dealers for similar products with knotted or poorer-quality timber. Shym sent only beautiful, straight-grained, richly coloured Western Red Cedar, which looks and smells absolutely gorgeous. Second, the design of the kit set is elegant and simple. Art provides a great guide, all the tools and fixings, and I managed to put both products together over 2-3 weekends, despite not being particularly handy. They look stunning. Third, the support and service was terrific. Delivery to the pickup point was straightforward, reasonably priced and prompt – all guided by Art over phone and FaceTime. During assembly, Art helped me every time I hit a block with the construction, and worked with me all the way to get both products fully assembled and functional. He totally went the extra mile. He has an open invite to come round for a soak! This is a business that deserves to prosper: great product, great service, great guy.
