Wood-Burning Hot Tubs: Luxury at Low Expense
Wooden hot tubs tend to be more affordable than acrylic or rotomolded spas, especially if you go with a DIY wood fired cedar hot tub kit. This way, you can have a great quality wooden tub without spending too much money.
High-grade Canadian Western Red Cedar
Our products are made from high-quality Canadian Western Red Cedar that is naturally endowed with a sweet aromatic scent and the ability to avoid fast decay. Having a thickness of around 1.5 inches (3.85 centimeters), the cedar wood is an excellent choice for outdoor hot tubs and wood-burning hot tubs due to its natural properties and high insulating values.
High-grade Thermo-treated Hemlock
Optionally you can choose thermo-wood as a material for your hottub. It is created by heat-treating hemlock timber to temperatures ranging from 180 – 230° in special chamber kilns for up to 96 hours
- It is dimensionally stable
- Resistant to growth of fungi and rotting
- Average life span is prolonged meaning your hottub will last longer!
- Better insulation properties
Heat Treated Timber Planks
For the perfect home spa experience, you need more than just hot water. You need comfortable, durable, and dimensionally stable hot tub wood that can stand up to years of use. BENEFITS
Eco-friendly
Wood-burning Western Red Cedar hot tubs are eco-friendly, sustainable, durable, and beautiful firewood tub.
That’s right. Cedar wood is an incredible wood that’s naturally rot and insect-resistant, making it ideal for both indoor and outdoor hot tubs. It’s also one of the most carbon-neutral building materials available, as it sequesters carbon throughout its life cycle.
Western Red Cedar is one of the best green building materials. Its timber is produced from sustainable processes in Canada with only less than ⅓ of 1% of the Columbia region’s Cedar that’s harvested per year. With each tree taken down for sauna or hot tub manufacturing, 3 are replanted.
Spend Family Time for Less
No Required Electricity Means No Electricity Bills
Wood-burning hot tubs do not require an electrical connection with just some fire wood needed to make it work. This means, that not only will you be experiencing the steady, natural-feeling warmth of the tub, but also the relief of not paying any utility bills! As a result, wood-burning stoves are a preferred method for many people. In addition, wooden hot tubs can be enjoyed in the areas where there is simply no power available.
Cheaper Than Any Form Of Outdoor Entertainment
A wooden hot tub is a more cost-effective and stylish option for anyone looking to add some recreational value to their home. The initial investment for a medium-sized cedar hot tub with all the necessary accompanying equipment like pumps, heaters, and filters would be about two to three thousand dollars less than that of an inground swimming pool.
Moreover, the chemicals required to maintain pH-balanced water in a hot tub are also relatively cheaper than those used for a pool.
Most importantly, while an inground swimming pool requires professional help for both installation and maintenance, setting up a hot tub is relatively easy and does not demand too much time commitment either.
