This easy-to-assemble sauna can be placed indoors or outdoors and is made with high-grade cedar that will last for years. Plus, it comes with all the features you need to enjoy a relaxing, stress-free sauna experience.

This DIY sauna can accommodate 4-8 people and is made of high-quality red cedar. The square barrel sauna design is perfect for any home and includes a full glass door, two-level benches, and an interior light. Plus, we’ll provide you with everything need to get started including a bucket, ladle, and thermometer/hydrometer.

Why This Design was Created

A traditional sauna typically has a square/rectangular room that has plenty of space, which will always win over the barrel sauna for the openness and space it can create. In contrast, the barrel sauna may feel small and confined but it provides easy assembly. No square sauna can compete with the barrel sauna in its simplicity of assembly. The square barrel sauna was created as a solution to a dilemma on how to combine the simplicity of assembly of a barrel sauna and the space that only a square sauna can create.

ASSEMBLY

Our square barrel saunas are easy to assemble using our standard barrel assembly procedure. Our saunas are assembled similarly to a barrel, which can be done by adding staves around the perimeter. These staves are then held together with stainless steel straps.

This assembly provides excellent insulation without the need for additional insulating materials. The barrel sauna is also installed on top of wooden crates to ensure stability, insulation, and the required ventilation.

Heater

Our sauna heaters are designed to efficiently and powerfully heat your sauna. Pouring water onto the stones will produce more steam/humidity if desired. This moist, intense heat feels wonderful and also helps you sweat out impurities, leading to improved health. The standard kit doesn’t include a heater–they can be bought from our online store separately.

Bitumen Roof Shingles

If you want to protect your sauna from precipitation and UV rays while also enhancing its insulation, bitumen shingles are a great option. In addition, the material is very tough and can withstand different types of weather conditions well, making it an ideal choice for saunas.

Sauna Pillow Backrest

Absolutely amazing build! Love the scent of the wood and craftsmanship. Very efficient also, takes only 15 minutes to heat up and literally 1 log. Highly recommend!
