Banool Tiny House is an Airbnb stay in Bindera, NSW, a small rural locality near Gloucester in the Barrington Tops region. For their guests, the owners chose a wood-fired hot tub from Shym Saunas, our Cube stainless steel hot tub lined with premium American Alder.
The tub sits on the timber deck beside the tiny house, looking out over rolling green hills and gum trees. It gives guests a private place to soak, unwind after a day outdoors and watch the sun go down over the paddocks.
The Cube is our most compact hot tub. It seats one or two people, which makes it a natural fit for a tiny house deck and a couple’s getaway. The body is made from 1.5 mm stainless steel that stands up to the weather and resists rust and corrosion. Inside, a lining of premium American Alder gives the tub a warm, smooth finish and helps keep the water hot for longer.
An integrated wood-fired heater with a shielded stainless steel flue heats all 560 litres of water. Light the fire and the tub is ready in about 60 to 120 minutes. There is no pump, filter or control panel to manage, so any guest can use it with confidence.
The Cube also works like a normal bath. An external drain valve under the tub makes it quick to empty and refill with fresh water, which suits a guest property where every stay should start clean. In the warmer months it can be used without the fire as a cold plunge.
