Canadian Red Cedar Barrel Sauna Installation
We recently completed a Canadian Red Cedar Barrel Sauna Installation for a private property in Dairy Plains, Tasmania. The customer chose the Canadian Red Cedar Barrel Sauna with Porch to create a relaxing outdoor wellness space at home.
This project shows how a traditional barrel sauna can add comfort, warmth, and function to a backyard setting. The full setup included a heater, roof protection, and key sauna accessories.
The customer selected this sauna for its classic barrel shape and natural red cedar finish. Canadian red cedar handles moisture well, lasts for many years, and gives the sauna a warm natural aroma.
The barrel design also helps the sauna heat efficiently. Its curved shape allows warm air to move smoothly around the room.
The sauna measures 2000 mm in diameter and 2400 mm in length. It also includes a front porch area, which gives users a simple space to cool down between sessions.
For heating, the customer added a Harvia The Wall Electric Sauna Heater 6kW with an internal controller. This compact heater gives steady heat and suits medium-sized sauna rooms.
To protect the sauna outdoors, the team added bitumen roof shingles. These shingles help protect the cedar structure from rain and weather exposure.
The package also included the main sauna essentials. These included sauna rocks, a spruce bucket and ladle, thermometer and hygrometer, sauna clock, interior sauna lamp, and sauna pillows.
