Hobart, Tasmania

Shym Saunas recently completed the installation of an Outdoor Spruce Sauna in Hobart, Tasmania, for a client who wanted to bring authentic Finnish wellness into their backyard. This model, the UNION 160, comfortably fits 3–5 people and blends traditional craftsmanship with a sleek, modern design.

Made from thermo-treated Nordic Spruce, this outdoor sauna is crafted to last through Australia’s changing seasons. The 42 mm timber walls ensure great insulation and energy efficiency. Inside, Thermo-Aspen benches offer two seating levels — so you can choose between a deep heat session or a softer, relaxing warmth. The ergonomic bench design makes every sauna session comfortable and restorative.

Large bronze-tinted windows allow soft, natural light to fill the space while keeping it private. Smart ventilation keeps the air fresh and balanced, maintaining even heat throughout the sauna. Whether you’re winding down after a long day or sharing a weekend wellness ritual, this sauna transforms any backyard into a peaceful retreat.

Delivered as a preassembled kit, this outdoor spruce sauna is easy to install — perfect for backyards, gardens, or poolside setups. It’s a beautiful, low-maintenance addition that brings lasting health and relaxation benefits.

For the Hobart homeowner, this project is more than just an installation — it’s an investment in wellbeing, comfort, and quality time.
